Oman is mountain, sea, desert and wadi, plus world class hotels. But more importantly, Oman is brimming with hospitable and friendly people. And that is what makes it so irresistibly attractive and different. A country that is far removed from the Rat Race in the region and is unique in providing interactive experiences to the visitor.
A world of fascinating diversity coupled with awesome beauty the Sultanate of Oman is as diverse as nature could possibly be and safe, colourful and hospitable. Stretching from the Eastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula, Oman is the second largest country in the region, spreading over an area of 300,000 square kilometres. On the East, the country is washed by the Arabian Sea and the Strait of Hormuz. In the West it shares its boundaries with the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the South with the Yemen Republic.
Visitors can explore the souqs, harbour and Grand Mosque of Muscat, head into the interior to discover the ancient historic forts, the castellated walls of which hide intricate paintings, hidden passageways and secret rooms. Guests can see camel racing in the desert, deep canyons, medieval hilltop villages and the Queen of Sheba's palace. The history and diversity of this country will leave a lasting memory on any traveler.
