Day 1-2: Halifax
Day 1: Arrive in Halifax and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, perhaps dining at one of the many waterfront restaurants and eateries to savour the local culinary delights.

Day 2: Dedicate the entire day to independently exploring Halifax's rich maritime heritage. As a hub for East Coast arts and culture, Halifax offers numerous galleries and showcases local artists who capture the essence of the Canadian Maritimes. Consider visiting the meticulously restored Historic Properties, the 18th-century Citadel, and the charming Public Gardens. Alternatively, you can opt for a scenic harbour cruise for a different perspective of the city.

Day 3: VIA Rail/The Ocean - Halifax to Quebec City
After a morning stroll from your hotel to the Halifax rail station, board VIA Rail’s The Ocean for your journey to Quebec City via Sainte-Foy. Enjoy a delightful lunch as you travel through Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, passing the scenic hills of the Baie des Chaleurs. As evening approaches, savour a sumptuous onboard dinner while watching the landscape transform under the setting sun. Spend the night in a comfortable cabin for two, featuring a roomy sofa that converts into two retractable stacked beds, along with a private bathroom.

Day 4-5: Quebec City
Day 4: Greet the sunrise as the train traces the shores of the majestic St. Lawrence River, arriving in Quebec City to begin the next phase of your holiday. Transfer independently to your hotel and check-in. Spend the rest of the day exploring this historic city, visiting famous sites such as the Latin Quarter, the Plains of Abraham, the Fortifications, the National Assembly, Place Royale, and the Basilica.

Day 5: Continue your exploration of Quebec City, diving deeper into its rich history and vibrant culture. Enjoy the city's unique blend of old-world charm and modern amenities.

Day 6: Quebec City to Montreal
Board VIA Rail’s Corridor service to Montreal, journeying along the scenic shoreline of the St. Lawrence River. Upon arrival in Montreal, check into your hotel and explore the city. Stroll along the bustling St. Catherine Street, known for its shops and cafes. As night falls, enjoy a meal at one of Montreal’s numerous restaurants and perhaps catch a live jazz performance at a local club.

Day 7: Montreal
Spend the day uncovering Montreal’s many charms. Opt for a guided walking tour through Old Montreal, learning about its 19th-century economic vibrancy and contemporary dynamics. Visit notable landmarks such as the exterior of Notre-Dame Basilica, Place d'Armes, St-Jacques Street, McGill Street, Place d'Youville, and Place Royale. For a unique experience, consider a boat tour on the Cavalier Maxim or rent a bike to explore the city’s cycling paths, enjoying panoramic views from sunny terraces.

Day 8: Montreal to Toronto
Embark on the final leg of your rail adventure, travelling through the charming townships and communities of Quebec and Ontario en route to Toronto. After checking into your hotel, spend the evening exploring the city's vibrant nightlife or relaxing at your accommodation.

Day 9: Toronto
Choose to explore Toronto with a hop-on-hop-off bus tour, visiting popular attractions such as the Royal Ontario Museum, Casa Loma, CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, The Distillery Historic District, Toronto’s Harbourfront, Eaton Centre, Bloor-Yorkville Village, Chinatown, St. Lawrence Market, the Entertainment District, and the Bata Shoe Museum. Alternatively, take a full-day excursion to Niagara Falls, experiencing the awe-inspiring natural wonder and the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake along the scenic Niagara Parkway.

Day 10: Departure
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight home, concluding your memorable journey.
