Good news for travellers planning trips through the Gulf region. The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has updated its travel advice, meaning British travellers can once again travel to and transit through the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Bahrain without the restrictions that were previously in place.
The change follows an improvement in the regional security situation after months of heightened tensions across the Middle East. Earlier travel warnings had caused disruption for holidaymakers, business travellers and passengers connecting through major aviation hubs such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha. The updated advice now provides greater confidence for travellers and the wider travel industry.
