Britain’s islands are some of the most spectacular you will find anywhere, and this cruise brings you the best they have to offer – plus much, much more. First you will cross the Irish Sea to the colourful port of Cobh, offering easy access to Cork, Ireland’s cultured and cosmopolitan second city. You will then continue to St Mary’s, the main island of the scintillating Scillies, boasting Britain’s best climate. We will then return to the mainland for a visit to the historic naval city of Plymouth, with its proud maritime traditions, before traversing the Channel to quintessentially French Cherbourg, boasting remarkable architecture and inviting pavement cafés.

Cobh
Rows of candy-coloured houses are just one of the many reasons why Cobh, Ireland is such a charming place to visit. Fascinating historic sites and warm Irish hospitality are standout features of this picturesque port town.
St Mary's
Situated just off the Cornish coast, St. Mary's is the largest and most populous of the Isles of Scilly. Over 30 miles of nature trails intersect the island, guiding wanderers to hidden coves and quiet beaches. The subtle beauty of this British archipelago is perfect for fun or reflection while surrounded by nature.
Plymouth
Plymouth, nestled on England's southwest coast, is a treasure trove of maritime history and seaside allure. Wander the historic Barbican district, stand where the Pilgrims embarked at the Mayflower Steps, explore naval bases like Devonport Dockyard, and take in breathtaking coastal scenery along the English Channel.
Cherbourg
Cherbourg on the Normandy coast has a long and storied relationship with the sea. Tour along coastal promenades, wander through fascinating quayside museums, and indulge in delicious local seafood.
Just 22 nautical miles down river from the Tower Bridge in London, Tilbury is a popular turnaround port for cruises visiting Baltic and Northern European destinations.

Cork City's nearby harbor district has seen plenty of history. Cork Harbour's draws include Fota Island—with an arboretum, a wildlife park, and the Fota House ancestral estate—and the fishing port of Cobh.
St Mary’s is the Isle of Scilly’s largest island with a population of 1800 residents and an area of 6.58 square Kilometres; this is the gateway to the rest of the magnificent islands. Hugh town -a beautiful Old town with its own beach, nature reserve and church is the main attractions of St Mary’s, with tiny streets brimming with shops to pick up the perfect souvenir. St Mary’s is a hidden gem, with long stretches of white sandy beaches and a breath-taking untouched landscape. The coastline holds many archaeological sites along with miles of splendid walks along the coastal and country paths.
Best known as the port from which Sir Francis Drake and the port which the Pilgrim Fathers set sail from, Plymouth is awash with history. Walk down its cobbled streets, step back in time and discover the historical landmarks and sites.
Originally a little fishing village, Cherbourg has developed into a historic port designed by Vauban. This was also a strategic naval port during the Napoleonic wars; there is a marina with over 1000 moorings. “Cap de la Hague” is to the West and the “Pointe de Barfleur” to the East. This port, which belongs to Normandy, is a region that has provided inspiration for countless artists and writers, and is the land of apple orchards and rolling farmland dotted with villages of half-timbered houses. Boasting a wealth of abbeys and châteaux, as well as a superb coastline, it offers something for everyone. Cherbourg was also the first stop of RMS Titanic after it left Southampton, England. On 19 June 1864, the naval engagement between USS Kearsarge and CSS Alabama took place off Cherbourg. The Battle of Cherbourg, fought in June 1944 following the Normandy Invasion, ended with the capture of Cherbourg on June 30.

Her dining options will inspire you with two main restaurants, speciality dining options*, and a more casual bistro-style café. Sit back, relax and enjoy a drink in one of her four bars, lounges and pub. Or take in a show in the tiered main theatre, or discover your hidden talents in the card room, library, and craft studio.
Other facilities include the wellness centre, gym, two swimming pools and a range of retail shops, perfect for days at sea.

Why not expand your taste buds at one of our speciality restaurants? We have Saffron*, offering exceptional Indian fusion cuisine, and premium fine dining in Sea & Grass* and a taste of the Mediterranean in Lupino's* (Ambition).
Then there is the pinnacle of dining with Ambassador, The Chef's Table*, which includes an exclusive galley tour, and the Executive Chef walking you through every course, talking about the inspiration behind the dish and its preparation.
Breakfast and lunch are generally served on an open seating basis, giving you and your appetite plenty of choice. Please note on board Ambition, at breakfast you can expect a full buffet with one special served to the table and for lunch there will be starter, soup and desert served buffest style with the main course served to the table. With dinner, we operate two sittings, which can be requested after booking your cruise. If you have any dietary requirements, we can easily accommodate - just let us know in advance.
