El Ferrol
El Ferrol feels quietly authentic, shaped by the Atlantic and centuries of maritime life. Wander historic streets lined with understated architecture, or travel inland to Santiago de Compostela, where pilgrimage routes, cathedral bells and café terraces fill the air with atmosphere. Along the coast, rugged headlands and small fishing villages reveal Galicia at its most natural. Food here is simple and superb - fresh seafood, local wines and unhurried meals. El Ferrol offers a gentle, grounded introduction to northern Spain.
Santander
Set around a beautiful natural bay, Santander feels spacious, elegant and calm. Golden beaches stretch into the distance, while grand buildings line leafy avenues close to the water. Wander through Magdalena Peninsula, pause at waterfront cafés, or simply enjoy the easy balance of city and sea. There’s a refined charm here that invites lingering rather than rushing. Santander is graceful, bright and effortlessly appealing.
Getxo
Getxo offers a breath of sea air and Basque character just beyond the energy of Bilbao. Cliff-top paths reveal sweeping ocean views, while the elegant waterfront blends beaches, marinas and striking modern architecture. Nearby, Basque cuisine takes centre stage - pintxos bars, local wines and a deep pride in food and tradition. Life here feels confident yet relaxed. Getxo is coastal Spain with a contemporary edge.
Just 22 nautical miles down river from the Tower Bridge in London, Tilbury is a popular turnaround port for cruises visiting Baltic and Northern European destinations.

El Ferrol has been inextricably linked to the sea for more than two millennia, being a major shipbuilding centre for most of its history. From its beginnings as a tiny fishing port in the 1st century BC, it endured conquests by Vandals, Suebis, Arabs and Christians. With the arrival of the Bourbons in the 18th century, Ferrol became a leading maritime centre, largely due to its large natural harbour on the Ferrol Inlet, an arm of the Atlantic. Now a large commercial port, Ferrol is also the gateway to the northern Spanish province of Galicia, a region noted for its green mountains, deep gorges and fast-flowing rivers. It is also well placed for visiting the medieval holy city of Santiago de Compostela. Interestingly, Ferrol's city centre is modelled on Lisbon in Portugal, a country with which it has strong historical and linguistic ties. The layout comprises of a rectangle lined with six parallel streets, with two squares on each side. These squares have the city's best shops, restaurants and bars.
The Campo Valdés baths, dating back to the 1st century AD, and other reminders of Gijón's time as an ancient Roman port remain visible downtown. Gijón was almost destroyed in a 14th-century struggle over the Castilian throne, but by the 19th century it was a thriving port and industrial city. The modern-day city is part fishing port, part summer resort, and part university town, packed with cafés, restaurants, and sidrerías.

Inspired by the French word for “surrounding,” our aim is to create the right atmosphere on board, so every guest feels at home. With space for around 1,400 guests, Ambience balances a sense of freedom with the intimacy and camaraderie many of us value.

Dining includes the Buckingham Restaurant and Borough Market, with Alfresco Grill for fresh-air favourites. For something special, try Saffron*, Sea & Grass* or our Chef’s Table*.
Her dining options will inspire you with two main restaurants, speciality dining options*, and a more casual bistro-style café. Sit back, relax and enjoy a drink in one of her four bars, lounges and pub. Or take in a show in the tiered main theatre, or discover your hidden talents in the card room, library, and craft studio.
Other facilities include the wellness centre, gym, two swimming pools and a range of retail shops, perfect for days at sea.

Why not expand your taste buds at one of our speciality restaurants? We have Saffron*, offering exceptional Indian fusion cuisine, and premium fine dining in Sea & Grass* and a taste of the Mediterranean in Lupino's* (Ambition).
Then there is the pinnacle of dining with Ambassador, The Chef's Table*, which includes an exclusive galley tour, and the Executive Chef walking you through every course, talking about the inspiration behind the dish and its preparation.
Breakfast and lunch are generally served on an open seating basis, giving you and your appetite plenty of choice. Please note on board Ambition, at breakfast you can expect a full buffet with one special served to the table and for lunch there will be starter, soup and desert served buffest style with the main course served to the table. With dinner, we operate two sittings, which can be requested after booking your cruise. If you have any dietary requirements, we can easily accommodate - just let us know in advance.
