Meet your local guide and begin your journey north along Iceland’s spectacular landscapes. Travel through the historic Borgarfjörður region before continuing towards Skagafjörður, an area renowned for its beautiful scenery and Icelandic horses.
Visit the fascinating Glaumbær Folk Museum, where traditional turf-roofed buildings provide an insight into Icelandic life in centuries gone by. Continue across the dramatic Öxnadalsheiði mountain plateau before arriving in Akureyri, known as the “Capital of North Iceland.”
This evening, you have the option to unwind at the Forest Lagoon, a geothermal spa surrounded by beautiful northern landscapes.

Today reveals some of the most fascinating volcanic landscapes on your Iceland Ring Road tour.
Begin with a visit to the magnificent Goðafoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most famous cascades, before continuing to the Lake Mývatn region. Explore the unusual lava formations of Dimmuborgir and the pseudocraters of Skútustaðagígar, landscapes shaped by Iceland’s powerful volcanic forces.
Continue to Grjótagjá, a dramatic lava cave containing a geothermal hot spring, before exploring the bubbling mud pools and steaming landscapes of Námaskarð.
The day culminates with a visit to Dettifoss, one of Europe’s most powerful waterfalls, before continuing east to Egilsstaðir.

Visit Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where enormous icebergs break away from the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and drift through the lagoon towards the sea. Enjoy an amphibian boat tour among the floating icebergs before continuing to nearby Diamond Beach, where pieces of glacial ice are scattered across the black volcanic sand.
Travel past Hvannadalshnúkur, Iceland’s highest peak, before continuing west along the spectacular South Coast.
Visit the dramatic Reynisfjara black sand beach, famous for its basalt columns and powerful Atlantic waves, and admire the sea arch at Dyrhólaey. Continue to two of Iceland’s most celebrated waterfalls, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, before arriving in Selfoss.

Today you’ll explore the Golden Circle, one of Iceland’s most famous sightseeing routes.
Visit Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. The site is also steeped in history and was home to Iceland’s historic Alþingi parliament, established in AD 930.
Continue to the geothermal area of Geysir, where you can watch Strokkur erupt into the air at regular intervals. Then admire the spectacular Gullfoss Waterfall, where powerful glacial waters cascade through a dramatic two-tiered canyon.
Return to Reykjavík, with the option to spend the afternoon relaxing at the world-famous Blue Lagoon.
