Your New England adventure begins in Boston. On arrival at Logan International Airport, make your own way to your hotel, where you will meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers.
Boston is one of America's most historic cities and the perfect starting point for your journey through New England.
Leave Boston behind and head north along the spectacular New England coastline. Your journey takes you through Portsmouth, a historic New Hampshire seaport known for its waterfront and maritime heritage.
Continue to Cape Neddick to see the iconic Nubble Lighthouse, one of the most photographed lighthouses in America and one of the classic sights of the Maine coast.
Continue to picturesque Kennebunkport, a much-loved seaside resort known for its beaches, charming streets and impressive summer homes. Then travel onwards to Portland, Maine’s largest city.
Enjoy free time to explore Portland’s historic Old Port waterfront, browse its independent shops and perhaps sample one of Maine’s famous lobster rolls.

Today you’ll travel further north to Acadia National Park, often described as the crown jewel of the North Atlantic Coast.
Enjoy the dramatic scenery of rugged coastline, forests, mountains and ocean views as you explore this spectacular part of Maine. Keep an eye out for the region’s abundant wildlife and enjoy some of the beautiful viewpoints along the way.
Later, arrive in Bar Harbor, a charming coastal town on Mount Desert Island. Spend some time exploring its galleries, boutiques, waterfront and restaurants at leisure.

Leave the Maine coast behind and head inland towards the spectacular White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Travel through changing autumn landscapes towards the scenic Kancamagus Highway, one of New England’s most famous drives and a particularly beautiful route during fall foliage season.
Continue through Franconia Notch and visit Flume Gorge State Park, where a dramatic natural gorge, waterfalls and forest trails provide some of the region’s most impressive scenery.

Spend another day enjoying the beauty of the White Mountains, with opportunities to admire spectacular mountain views, forests and waterfalls.
The region is particularly impressive during autumn, when the mountainsides become a vibrant tapestry of red, orange and gold.
You’ll also visit a local Maple Farm, where you can learn about the traditional production of pure maple syrup and discover how modern technology has been combined with generations of maple-making traditions.

Continue south towards Cape Cod, one of New England’s best-loved coastal destinations.

Enjoy time to explore the area and soak up the atmosphere of this quintessential New England peninsula.

Enjoy a full day to discover more of Cape Cod at your own pace.
You could relax on one of the area's beautiful beaches, explore charming coastal villages or take an optional ferry excursion to Martha’s Vineyard (additional charge).
Alternatively, visit Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod, a colourful and historic seaside community famous for its beaches, harbour and vibrant atmosphere. The area also has strong connections with the Kennedy family and America's political history.

Today you’ll travel to Plymouth, one of the most important locations in early American history.
Visit Plymouth Rock, traditionally associated with the arrival of the Mayflower and the Pilgrims in 1620. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the area and learn more about the early English settlement of New England. The Mayflower can also be visited, with admission available at an additional cost.
Continue back to Boston, where you can discover more of the city’s revolutionary history. Follow sections of the famous Freedom Trail, which links some of Boston’s most important historic sites.
You’ll also have time to explore Quincy Market and perhaps sample one of Boston’s famous New England specialities, such as clam chowder.
