Leave Miami behind and follow the Overseas Highway south towards the islands of the Florida Keys. The journey becomes an attraction in itself as you cross bridges surrounded by turquoise waters and pass through the laid-back communities of Key Largo and Islamorada.
Continue to Marathon in the Middle Keys, your base for the next two nights.

Spend today exploring Marathon and the surrounding Middle Keys.
A highlight of your stay is a visit to the Dolphin Research Centre, where you can learn more about dolphins, marine life and the centre's conservation and educational work.
You could also explore the famous Seven Mile Bridge, visit the historic Pigeon Key or simply enjoy the relaxed waterfront atmosphere of Marathon.

Continue south towards the southernmost point of the Florida Keys.
Today's drive takes you across the spectacular Seven Mile Bridge and through the smaller islands of the Lower Keys. Keep an eye out for the distinctive Key Deer around Big Pine Key, and consider stopping at Bahia Honda State Park if time allows.
Eventually you'll arrive in colourful Key West, where you'll have three nights to enjoy the island's unique atmosphere.

Today is yours to explore Key West.
Wander through the historic streets of Old Town, visit the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum or make your way to the Southernmost Point. Duval Street is perfect for browsing shops, cafés and restaurants, while the island's distinctive architecture gives Key West a character all of its own.
Optional: See Key West from a different perspective with a Conch Train tour, taking you around the island's historic landmarks and colourful neighbourhoods.

It's time to leave the Keys behind as you make your way back towards Miami.

Enjoy a final full day in Miami.
Head back to the beach, explore Downtown Miami or Little Havana, indulge in some last-minute shopping or simply relax by the hotel before your journey home.
